Here are two versions of a design i'm working on. I can't decide between the two, so i thought i'd get some comments on the layout. the font (Helvetica Oblique) matches all their other stuff, so i can't change that.

the project is a 2' x 8' banner. i'm planning on cutting the letters in white vinyl and sponging on the yellow fade with Deka enamels. i'll do the same thing with yellow in the upper right corner of the (blue) banner. (i would have used spray paints, but i don't have any yellow, and the job is due before i could get any). do i need to use Frog Juice to top coat (or undercoat) the white letters?

I think I like version 2 better. Both have the same impact. The larger white text at the bottom of version 2 does not compromise the impact of the overall design. The smaller text is just harder to read at a distance and as a tool to get a customer to shed some bucks, I'd go with the larger text.

Scooter,

Both are clean layouts. I prefer the first one. [Smile]

Hay Scooter,

I like both as well but I prefer the second one as the color change on the main copy is in flow with the yellow in the corner, instead of fighting it. It's easier to read to me!

I do like the larger sub copy.

If this were a test I would have to go with the second version, it just seems to pop off the substrate more in my opinion.

Otherwise you get an A+
