I have a question about putting wind holes in a 60ft 16oz. banner that will be up across the road. What size and how many wind holes should I use?

Thanks -- Sully

a thought that occurred to me while wondering whatever happened to j.p. parisi...

before you pull out you utility knife and wind hole template, you shouls consult with the self proclaimed world famous sign guru, butch anton. he did make a few excellent points when he composed an article on banners in sign business magazine.

cutting wind holes does little to lessen the wind load and just serves to weaken the banner itself.

call butch... i am sure he can set you down the right path.

have a great one!

I believe he said to use bunji cords. for something this size probably some long ones. In so far as price goes, it depends on artwork. But $1000 bucks for anything complicated and about $650 for straight lettering job.
