Powerful New Roland EGX-360 Gift Engraver Personalizes Both Flat and Cylindrical Items
Roland DGA Corp. has introduced a new gift engraver aimed at boosting profits for gift shops, trophy shops and jewelry retailers. Capable of both cylindrical and flat engraving, the EGX-360 produces everything from gifts, jewelry and awards to ADA signs and rhinestone decorated apparel.
“The EGX-360 can produce over 500 different custom gifts, more than any other device on the market,” said Rick Rivera, Roland product manager. “This versatile desktop device virtually eliminates the need to outsource hundreds of jobs, delivering professional results and ultra-fast turnaround times.”
Able to engrave cylindrical objects made of glass, crystal and metal, the EGX-360 quickly and easily personalizes flasks, wine bottles, mugs, wedding sets, cigar tubes, rings and much more. The desktop device also excels at flat engraving, diamond scribing and 3D reliefs. It handles everything from plastic and light metals to wood and artificial marbles.
Another hot application is custom rhinestone apparel. The EGX-360 works seamlessly with Roland R-WearStudio™ to quickly produce precise and intricate rhinestone patterns. The device even functions as a traditional engraver, producing everything from custom awards and name badges to ADA signs.
Bundled Software
The EGX-360 comes with a full suite of software that supports a wide range of engraving applications. Dr. Engrave™ uses TrueType fonts and includes an automatic layout function for importing Excel and CSV database files for fast engraving of product serial numbers and nametags. The software quickly and easily imports data and places columns of information into pre-defined text boxes to produce corporate nametags and entire door-numbering projects. Dr. Engrave is compatible with Windows® 2000/XP/VISTA.
Roland EngraveStudio™ software facilitates the production of a wide variety of jobs, from simple nameplates to elegant wood signs and gift items. With single stroke fonts and a special V-Carving mode, EngraveStudio generates quality results with a real hand-carved look. The software imports designs in AI and EPS file formats, and lets users preview the designs on screen through an engraving simulation function, saving precious materials and time.
The EGX-360 also comes with 3D Engrave and Virtual Modela for producing 3D relief signage.
