I have bought out supplier who was no longer carrying the Avery line of vinyl. I have a bunch of rolls, many different colors. Here is what I am asking per roll, new in box:
Avery A4 15” x 50 yd $34 each Avery A4 24” x 50 yd $54 each Avery A8 15” x 50yd $102 each
If anyone is interested, email me for more info. I am just outside Cleveland, Ohio, though I could also ship rolls if interested. Thanks! Tyler
There have been several posts on Avery vinyl and the problems associated with Avery vinyl. Maybe if you bought out a supplier of this vinyl, there might be a reson he or she's dumping the brand.
Just do a search on Avery vinyl and you'll see what I mean. I am not trying to poke a hole in your sale of the vinyl, I was not sure if the vinyl you are selling is some of the "problem vinyl" that folks are talking about.

What I have used has been fine so far, the bulk of what I have is A4 anyway, so it isn't intended for long use. I hadn't heard of any problems with Avery before, I know that they no longer produce A8, now they have A9.

Hey Tyler, You have to get out a little more often I don't think there's a sign website that hasn't touched on this subject over the last year or 2. Don't worry though, most, if not all of the problems were related to the A8 or their EZ apply stuff. Because Avery ignored the signmakers that were having the problems, no one wants to buy their materials and the supplier is getting stuck with a lot of stock that's not going to move. Unless you can use it, I have a feeling that you're going to be in the same boat.
Havin fun,

Checkers, plenty of people were not ignored when it came to the Avery problems. I agree some were ignored for some unknown reason but there are quite a few people that frequent this site that weren't ignored and some that thought they were being ignore until they found the right avenue to file their claims. I believe most of the ignorance problems were related to supplier ignorance or reluctance to deal with the problem. I can however see why some suppliers would be gun shy to selling the product anymore as its reputation has been severely damaged, however there are plenty of us, myself included that still use Avery products and will continue to use them until such time as they do Ignore me. I try really hard to steer away from 3M products because they ignored me when I had shrinkage issues with 7 fire trucks that had reflective material on them. However I wont give up on either manufacturer. I mean think of it this way. if you put up a sign for someone and it failed wouldn't you hope that they come back to you for another one even after you fixed the first one? Sometimes how a claim is dealt with shows how much integrity a manufacturer has. if they ignore you then perhaps its a time to ignore them for future purchases, I agree. but perhaps maybe and especially in this situation if they are going beyond the scope of their warranty responsibilities then maybe you need to consider continuing doing business with them. If you read the warranty on ANY of the vinyl products out there they all virtually say the same thing. and for what its worth, they don't have to do anymore than replace the defective product. Many of the people who filed the claims properly were compensated for a portion of their labor. probably the biggest issue I have with the Avery debacle is identifying the good rolls from the bad. kind of makes me nervous, but I do know which rolls I still have are of questionable quality and I will only use them for temporary use signs and junk that just doesn't matter, of course keep in mind I don't have nearly the inventory that most sign shops have. I have seen plenty of police cars in our town that had to have been done with the suspect vinyl because there is major shrinkage. someday I'm going to contact the shop that did the work and ask what brand vinyl they used. Might be interesting to find out. It's one of those big name franchise shops.
Yanno I need to climb off my soapbox tonight, I have been keyboard happy, sorry to bore or upset anyone, I had a $hitty day today and I have diarrhea of the fingers.
