Well, after many revisions on a logo for the two brothers, we have arrived at this. We love it (top one), they want the colors in the lower sample. We hate it. What do you think? Color theory and landscaping......a noble profession

Top one, no doubt, never ceases to amze me that with so many beautiful colors at our disposal, people will still choose the daggy ones. But the word "Grasshopper" worries me a little, reads like "Grass shopper" Either alter the kerning or perhaps use your colors for the "Grass" and the clients color for the "Shoppers"
But, the bottom line is..."If the client loves it, ya gotta go with it"

I'm with Rob on the readability issue, maybe make the "h" a capital letter and maybe even into the tree somehow? You could still leave it one word when capitalizing the "h."
PS - see if they will compromise and use your blue sky in the letters for grasshoppers and their red triangle. Then you'll be able to see it hehehe!

COOL LOGO... I really like it... (One thing that I'm confuse) I'm not sure if its suppose to be one word or two word?? If it is one word, I see it as gras shoppers, because it looks like shoppers is move down just tiny bit as the gras is up a little bit (unless its just my eyes)... If it is two word then I would make H as large as G, but either way one or two word I think the H should be as large as G...
I do like the colors you have... I also do like the client, but try using yellow instead of gray in the grasshoppers... The gray doesn't look good because (from my idea) as a landscaping, gray looks cloudy and not bright... If you use yellow, would look sunny and bright...
Also, depending on the vehicle colors, if your using light color vehicle, I would use the darker green, and if its dark color vehicle, I would use the lighter green...
well, I hope this help out... Good Luck... ;o)
