Geez....the rest of the sign looks great but the mutant needs work- if it has to be, what about feathers for the front legs to break the brown and carry the pink or blue for the scales, (as in tropical fish)-the red is a shocker! Looks like a discord to me.

Very cool, Rob. Wicked colorful! Seeing it in context with the rest of the sign really does the 'lil fella justice. Now you just have to come up with a name for the breed.

Would the red be better as a collar or as rings on the mutant's tail?

I don't think you can be too wild with something like this...I think the "ApockY" is perfect!

My only, ONLY concern is the possible overuse of black and thereby poor contrast in the copy of the sign itself.....
