This is a logo design I did for the local ski area and one of the many signs for them. Sign is 4' x 12' and it is 2 sided with redwood and cedar background. MDO cutout, painted 1Shot and mounted to the sign face.

My friend Denise Carson once did an entrance sign for an amusement park called "Magic Springs". She painted the letters of the name white and added clear smaltz to them. What a cool effect that was sparkling in the sunlight. Made ya look twice. She later did a small sign for me as a gift using the same process. It gleams in my kitchen.
Seeing the theme of this sign brought it to mind so I thought I'd share. That sparkly technique would have been so apropo for it. Especially on the snowflake!
Would of just added afew extra twinkles to an already outstanding sign! Nice job on the logo, and the sign!

That's a nice looking sign! It looks like a lot of work! I hope they paid you well!
I woulda tried to talk them into a giant snowflake, if it was me! But I've never tried to do a cut out, you know the cutting part! LOL!
I'm just one of those folks that likes to see the sign from way back, after painting them all these years, you'd think I could find em easier! There's just so many in the big city, ya can't see the signs for all the signs hehehe!
Wow Nettie,
That sounds beautiful...I didn't know that smaltz came in clear! What a grand tool! You'll have to take a pic of that one and show it off!
