Hi Jack,
So what is it? Is it st, Mary's or St. Mary?
Nice work!
Did you stand it off? How?

That's a great improvement Jack! Nice job! Did you handcarve the lettering with the gold or use a router table?

I tried to sell a new sign to the local church here. It was built in the 1800's. They just spent big bucks having the exterior paint removed and repainted.

They have a rotting plywood sign painted white with a black and white rectangle screwed on top with the name. It is installed in the ground and looks like it's falling forward. The plywood has plastic rails for changable letters. They never asked for prices and opted to repaint the rotted sign. Looks terrible!!

Thank you all for the compliments. I was myself very pleased with this project. It has a very glasslike enamel which may be polished like a car finish for several years to retain its look. Just be sure not to get the polish into the gold. It will cut right through it. I have about 120 hours in it, which is more than I expected, but I really wanted it to be right, so I took extra patience. Its kinda slow this time of year anyway.
Amy, Yes it is hand carved. Maybe you could print this off to show your customer how they can improve their image.... I find photos extremely valuable in sales efforts.
