well, I didn't get that one right eh? good thing I can paint! hahaha thanks for the assist!
just a little background on the project, the labels were all computer mask, 4 different layers that had to be alligned just right so it would work correctly. easy enough right? WRONG! the problem with doing the label on the tanks was I had 3 sets of compound curves to deal with and if you ever had to lay mask on acurved surface you'll understand the problem, 1 the tank curves from top to bottom , 2 it curves from front to back, and 3 I had to line it all up over the dash plate! AND it all had to fit together off the bike! it took 15 hrs to do the label alone. funny thing is, the thing I get the most compliments on are those bubbles! and they are the easiest thing to do on the whole bike. something else you might want to know, I had a friend custom make the "beer Caps" out of alluminum , they fit over any standard gas filler lid. also when you look at the bike, you can actually see the level of the inner beer foam under the rootbeer candy coat. so you have the inner beer bubbles and foam, the candy coat ( beer bottle glass ) millions of water droplets, the labels , the bubbles and the foam. all in one paint job. also the bike was signed by Kenny bernstien " the Bud King" who drag races for Budweiser. that signature is now on the dash,( not seen in these photos) the parts where mine and I did the job as a sample to show at the Seattle roadster show last March. they are for sale and will probably be going on EBAY soon. thanks again guys it was fun sharing! Mike

Hey Mike; got your message off my email this morning. Thanks for the compliments, and I would love to get the chance to meet in person some day and talk shop. Steve and Barb have shown me your work on different occasions and it's excellent! I wish I could see that Bud project - OUTSTANDING!
I havn't been painting as much after getting my helicopter pilots licence. Thats a tuff go to get started at. Somedays I think I should just pick up the airbrush again and forget about flying. Need any help out there!LOL.
When I figure out how to do this photo posting I'll put up a few.
That is simply amazing. Your work is inspiring, but I've told you that before!!
I think you should call the president of bud and see if he'd like to buy it!!! I would think they would want to use it in commercials and stuff...how cool would that be!
Keep it up!
