Nice sign Mark! When you sub this out do you have to provide all of the technical illustrations with dimensions or do they figure it out for you.

Daniels Inc. advertises in a lot of the sign magazines. They are about 5 miles from me. Never used them because I don't understand all the tech talk.

Just curious!

Mark, looks really cool. Can you fill us in on the details? What will the finished product look like? What kind of work do you still have to do to it? C'mon Bubba....talk to us.

thanks for the interest folks.
amy, when i sub a job like this i first come up with the design and dimensions.
then i pick the brain of the shop foreman of this larger sign company.(as to what is possible, plus pricing variables.)

then once the client has approved the drawings and proposal(color sketch and technical "blueprint")
then i require 1/2 down to start, then the balance due upon completion.

Mike,
here are a few details, all aluminum "seamless" construction, the lettering, cross and reader board are backed up with lexan.

the next step is etching the aluminum, then primer coat, then finish coat with matthews paints.
flourescent fixtures back mounted inside the cabinet.

as a one man sign shop i find these types of signs to be very profitable.
I basically design and sell it and the sub contractor fabricates and installs.

hey rob,
you are not out of your league buddy.

all i did was design and sell this job.
a local sign company with a lot more resources than my one-man shop fabricated this one.

find a sign company such as this in your area that you can work with and you too can sell this type of work.

this company has the latest computerized router systems, spray booth and the equipment to weld aluminum square tubing for the "super structure" and can produce this type work efficiently

this is a case in point, design sells!

shoot for the stars.

just another lettervillian,

mark
