This is a job we were called out for, an existing HDU sign used to be mounted between two faux stone columns. The HDU sign was built into the columns spanning 8 feet and had no interior frame whatsoever. You guessed it, someone busted it to pieces. The columns were nothing but plywood boxes covered with faux stone tiles. This was my solution to fit their budget. I steered them towards High end Painted MDO panels. All latex paint. Graphics were painted using masks. I added two 2x4 mitred treatments on top of the columns to tie the elements together. That was what sold this job, I do beleive.

Bob...the red column tops did make an amazing difference...this is a good example of how small things can make a big difference...the columns now have impact and function as an integral part of the overall design instead of as separate elements...nice job

I had a heart installed, now I am a progressive. Consequently a brain reduction was part of the package deal.
Rusty, I had my gall bladder removed 3 weeks ago. I had been having sporadic attacks, progressively getting worse and for longer durations since February. I am doing really well now with my lack of gall, You will all be happy to find. Thanks for asking.

Wow Bob, sorry to hear of your health issues but also glad to hear you are recovering. I like what you did with the sign project by adding the red covers to the columns. Missed you last week in Kewanee, IL for the walldog meet. Hopefully we can have one closer to your location someday. Sorry to hear about that brain reduction too. I guess that means you won't be a know-it-all now! Pity.
