Thanks to Rusty Bradley for his inspiration and blessings! This project has been in the works for a long time. Inspiration for this sign came from Rusty Bradley (with his blessings). The center floral branches are carved, then copper leafed which was then covered with a rose tinted varnish. The background around the branches is smaltz.

Joy...a beautiful job...I'm thrilled and humbled that I could have actually inspired someone...for a moment after reading your comment I felt like I was one of the sign gods...like a Dan Sawatzky...but reality soon brought me back down to earth...but thanks for giving me that short moment of what it must feel like to walk among the sign gods.
You did a great job...very classy...it has an art deco feel to it...I like the subdued color choice but with the splash of color in the blossoms...very nice and tastefully done.
Now if you will help me a little...I'm wondering what material you used to make the curve on what I'll call the roof board...that's exactly what I need for the sign I'm working on now.

Thank you so much everyone! Rusty, that Curve cap molding is 2" HDU. Two pieces of the top profile were cut out, then routered then glued together. My husband Lee can explain it in detail if you are interested. He has some pictures that might help explain it as well. Shoot me an email if you want. Shirley, it is more of a mushroom color. I actually used several shades of it although the photos don't seem to capture them.

Joy...I'm guessing you used 3 shades of mushroom...lightest being the border...the middle shade being the posts...and the darkest being the filigree around the cherry blossoms.
