I know I've been absent for a while, not much happening in my life these days.
I recently reacquainted myself to a childhood hobby, model cars.
For fun I challenged a member of one of the forums to a build off in mid December, the deadline was today and the subject was cartoon cars.
I built one of my favorite race cars, a winged 410 sprint car almost completely from scratch. I used styrene sheets, rods and tubes to create it. Other than the driver figure which is from a 1/12scale RC car, there are only parts of 4 pieces from a model kit. They are parts from a 300 sel Gullwing Mercedes and I defy anybody to find and identify them.
It took over 500 pieces to make this model.
I had a hard time making a spinner small enough for the gold that wouldn't wander, I sure could have done a better job on the turning. Oh well.
