23 kt gold leaf ( I bought the inexpensive oriental from Art Essentials, worked fine ). The paint is HOK urethane. I thought the shop was going to be air conditioned.........it wasn't. Temps over a hundred. Letter, wipe forehead, letter, wipe off arm, letter, wipe forehead. Oh the life.
