The picture on top WAS want I wanted. The pciure on the bottom was what she wanted. Her salon, she wins. She wanted that font,a black background with Metallic gold lettering, simple picture of a woman sitting on a chair. It's done on DiBond.

At least she kept the design of the NON-4x8 layout.

I kinda like both of them, I know Broadway is Passe at the moment, but the building does have a retro feel to it, your head shot is a lot easier to see and I like your color selection as well.

I think it would help to make saloon all caps, space it out & make Graciella's a little smaller. give the lettering more character (second image), but the customer always has the last say even tho we try to explain to them why! I like the window panel lettering, I do the same thing. It helps pull the whole building together.

nope top on rocks. Bottom one is typical of the noneducated client asking for run of the mill lettering. sometimes we have no choice. We wtry and give them something that leaps off the building and they dont get it.
good job none the less

The top has a lot more appeal than the bottom. The graphic is easier to see, and the lettering combo makes it more fun to read. The bottom one is weak in comparison.
My mind wanders. And that's not a good thing, 'cause it's too small to be out there alone. Posts: 3129 | From: Tooele, UT | Registered: Mar 2005

Most all that walk into my shop know me and how I operate, so having a sign above my file cabinet gets more laughs than anything. Here is what it says;
This is NOT Burger King, you don't get it your way, you get it my way, or you DON'T get it at all.
It has come in handy when times like yours come up and usually we come to terms.

Here's a closer version,,, Like I said before, she supplied me with the "Lady sitting on a chair" picture. I added the background. The one she had just had a white background. But I liked the "Pretty lady" picture better. I though the one she had, looked like her hair was on fire.

To bad they do not have a clue on how to get customers like you do
your design would bring in more customers for sure like many of us here been there done that your simple head picture is a winner. scripted salon is a winner, fine font for name is a winner colors winner
she really picked a old 70's &80's style of a salon look and image
