Some recent work from dealership open house/whatnot and bike nights. Needless to say we do a lot of Harley's. Last bike night it was nothing but european stuff. A Triumph bobber, a restored 72 BMW and a restored Norton Commando. Of course I forgot the camera
We were scheduled to do a two day bike/music fest this weekend but the weather took care of that

Bobbie, what I do on the fairings is I take a small flexible metal rule with a cork backing, space it off the fairing with my left hand and take a Staedler omni chrome in my right hand and run a guide line along the edge. Then I run some 1/8 tape along the mark. I wipe the mark off before striping. I also make a mark for a starting/stopping point. I stripe off the guide tape. Fairings can be a little tricky as you are dealing with a bunch of curves and the shine/reflections can throw you off eyeballing. You can also do these using Finesse tape but you will still need to use something to guide off of. The turns above the headlight are pretty tough. I find it takes a lot of cussing to get the radii to match so I prefer to just wing it.
