some miscreant stole my mailbox, it's nowhere to be found
so I figure if I want to keep receiving my bills I better fix the situation. so for a temporary solution, I got started on this today.
it'll probably have some starfish and barnacles on it too

well I'm hoping its so cool no one would dare steal it. what would they do with it? I'm also hoping it will last long enough for me to make a really neat post for it also.

Very nice Jon! But I agree... this is begging for batting practice. $20 says the 200 on top is gone within the first week of this going up. (although I hope not!!)

I pt the mailbox up today so I could get some mail after 4 days. It was closer to the other mailbox than I realized so most of the effect is lost to drive by traffic but at least the mailman and my neighbors can check it out. I took it back down tonight and I'll add some more sealife to the back side
and I need to do something else with the numbers they look a little outta place color wise

What about a half-rotted fish carcass- that should deter potential thieves from deciding they needed it as a souvenir?
Nice work!

I got ripped on for copying Dans starfish so I added a sea slug and got a little help from my 12 YO son. he really likes sculpting so he did the gill on the back of the slug. he also did a few barnacles.
After looking at Dan's stuff and breaking it down and then copying it, it helped me to learn more about the sculpting process and the creative process also.
Back to my regularly scheduled challenges and maybe some paying work

The bolts and rivets are urethane castings I did and the starfish and barnacles are epoxy clay
