This is a little project I worked on for myself last year. It was a little stop and go. I didn’t have place for it so there was no rush. I put my own spin on it and now I’m work on another one. The Army of Darkness! I don’t have any room that one either. -

Are you copying existing artwork or is this an original take? Either way it came out very well. I have a room I want to do the same to also.

Army of Darkness, love the movie.

I found a black and white image on the movie box at the library. Then I did some online color research and found a different image all together from the same movie. So whatever I couldn’t see I made it up. The colors the streets and some of the buildings are off. Weeks later after I had the layout and color down and the painting was almost finished I found a better image then I stopped working on it. Some time latter I ended up painting it the way I started just making some of it up.

The Army of Darkness is half finished. I’m working on the details like the faces .

Fergie Thanks for the link. That image is way better than the one I worked from. This is a link to the pic of the two side by side on Photo Bucket

Hey Cornbread! Nice painting. Glad I could meet you in Pontiac. You guys did a great job on Michael's wall. How big is this painting of Kong?

Kong is 3’ by 5’ feet. It’s large but not too large.
I had a ton of fun in Pontiac and loved working on Michael's wall. I think he and I worked well together. Judy I hope to see you at the next Walldog meet!

Very nice work!

BTW, an original King Kong poster from 1933 can work well over $100,000
