Here's another rendering of my monument design. I designed another sign panel and I think the panle's borders would actually have more distinct edges in real life. I also brightened up the copy a little for more contrast. Is this going in a better direction? Thanks!

I love the sign. Only one thing that gets me every time I see it; is the way the word "Sign" seems to be sagging down and to the left like the "S" is too heavy and its making the lower case "s" at the end look like its too high.
Other than that I think the logo layout works great with the shape of the monument.

I once read that as a general rule leave more negative space at the bottom and less at the top...in this respect I see a problem...move the sign up and create more negative space at bottom...I am really liking the overall look...just seems too low on the wall...I have heard that this is a general rule also used in framing and matting pictures.
The sign looks great! Like Rusty says I would make the monument a little taller leaving more space at the bottom. It would be expecially important if you were to do any planting around the sign.
I can hardly wait to see it built!

Thanks guys! I'll try re-shapeing/reducing the bottom of the sandblasted panel, and raising it on the wall and try rearranging those letters some. I placed the letters one at a time so they wouldn't look like they were typed out on a computer, enlarged the "S" to give it some pizzaz and gave it an upward to the right arrangement because I thought it would convey exuberance. When I get back to the shop, I'll try it straight to see how it looks.
But today, I'm re-roofing my house, and it's hot up there and cooking what brains I have left.

Yeah! I didn't think of making the monument taller. But I'm not satisfied with the bottom of the panel, I'll try re-shaping it. Thanks Rusty, Theresa and Dan

Wayne, I really liked it when you just had the bottom of the panel straight, and lower down like the pros already said... I think it's a pretty impressive sign!
