This building was just flat sheet rock walls when I went in to do my work. I used 2" pink insulation board for the archways. Once it was all nailed in place I used a 4" disc grinder to carve out the stone and then just coated on dryvit.
. .
. .
. . The areas behind the wine labels were done by cutting out a piece of interior wall paneling with the brick pattern in a odd shape, nail it on the wall and start laying large amounts of drywall mudd on and taper it out.
The contractor said I was nuts and that all that amount would do is dry and crack all apart. I said "I hope so", Sure enough two days later is was dry enough to faux paint the walls paint the labels with one shot and then distress the whole interior.
The Ideas was to make it look like the stucco fell off and exposed the wall art.

I had a 3" plate, seven screws & pins put into the wrist last Monday. I will see Friday if I will get it back or not.

That's really cool, Sam. It's amazing what you can do with a few brushes, a few rollers, some vivid imagination, and a tremendous amount of talent!
Very distressing job!! To be proud of!
