Well, 6 months after posting a sketch for this job, it finally came to fruition. The iron work was done by a Letterville Merchant, The Sign Bracket Store (thanks Matt), and the 4'x8' is 3/4 MDO hand painted with vinyl copy. The thistle graphic is carved HDU. The client was extremely pleased and it's already bringing attention in this little town. Sorry about the pic quality, it was taken on my cell phone.

Is the vinyl just yellow? Hard to tell, or is it a Gold Leaf vinyl?

Thanks Sam, just yellow. I took the font from the VectorArt book, thanks Chris Wolff (Vintage) and made the letters that were missing.

Really neat lettering and colors...I think it's unusual to find big signs like that with unusual shapes...I'm sure it's very effective from the road...I like it alot.
