This sign had to cover up the old stone sign.
He wanted a Racoon on it. I hand carved the racoon in 3 hours of fun. It took 1 1/2 hours to paint it.
The 4x8 background took 23 hours to cut.
The letters took 7 hours to cut.  -  -

I'm glad you posted 2 pics. The close up washes out that beautiful wood grain, but shows the letters really well. Nice raccoon too. Congrats

No airbrush involved Graham, the letters were just sprayed with normal spray gun. You can't get enough material on with an airbrush.
The raccoon was brush painted.

I really love your work...nice red background and a fantastic wood grain texture...you handled the animated raccoon with perfection...the irregular border across the top is something I would not have thought of...but it fits the overall theme well...fun sign done well.
