At the Puyallup Fair, I entered my doll house I got 2nd place. The other Dollhouses were mostly the Victorian style ones. But I did a Southwestern style one. Muncho Loca!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!! That is just sooooooooo cool. I build model cars as a hobby. I've seen some really cool diorama's done up with garage settings for the cars. This blows any of them away
Everywhere you look there is something to catch the eye.

I am only taking a shot in the dark here, but guessing the judges gave 1st place because as you say they were "Victorian" doll house's and yours was not.
I would love to see how much of there internal pieces were custom done as yours were since a lot of that Victorian doll stuff can be purchased and yours not.
I can probably speak for all here Alicia.---- ""BLUE RIBBON"" all the way.
As mentioned, if somemore zoom pics could be put on here I am sure we all would love to see them and give more credit than has been given.

Alicia. GREAT JOB! Your second place, reminds me of the time I entered a neon sculpture in a juried art show, a few years back. It did not get chosen because it was never plugged in or turned on. Even after I had given express directions on how to display it. Go figure. You have a fabulous Doll House. Some day it will be a collectable, I'm sure. Keep the faith and keep trying. Don

Thank You very, very much for the compliments. As time goes on I'll get in the electro-pounce machine, more signs on the walls, more graffit sprayed on the outisde walls, the computor wit monitor, critters' and one day a 1/18 scale big rig. I might have to make the truck myself, because they don't make die cast trucks that size. The list goes on and on.

That's very nice work. I like the paint spills on the floor.
When I was young, I built a small city for my HO scale train set in my father's garage. It had plenty of detail for the size, but not nearly as much cool stuff as you've got. The little town of Shannon met its demise when a neighbor kid played Godzilla with it.
