This place does serve good pizza, but it's not a "gourmet" pizza place - it's a family business, Greek immigrants, who are personable, serve good food for reasonable prices in a clean, friendly atmosphere. I should emphasize clean - this place is far and away the cleanest restaurant, of any type, that I've ever seen. The owner's wife usually works the evening shift, they close at 10pm and scrub the place top to bottom every night before the leave. They do a slamming lunch business - at noon you can wait for a seat - and a very good dinner business, very popular with families in the local community. In other words, they don't do anything outrageously unique, other than they take their business seriously and don't take their customers for granted. I've done menus and signs for them for years - and I eat there pretty regularly too.
These people could teach seminars in how to succeed in a highly competitive business.
Edited to say: This sign is 26" x 48". The genesis of this job was that the beer distributor offered them a free Budweiser mirror. The owner called me and wanted to know if I could ceate a "mirror sign" that advertised HIS business instead of Budweiser's. I showed him some of my gold-leaf samples, and told him a job like this would be $2500, plus the cost of a frame. He paid cash.

Jerry, this project was all hand-leafed. The glue-chipped background was water gilded with 12k white gold. I then sized it with one-shot fast size and applied aluminum leaf. This filled all the inevitable holidays that result in hand-leafing over glue chip.
