OK. This is the first logo I'm putting up here for critique. Let me have it.

Developed for a child care facilty breaking free from a franchise. The customer asked for a circle and warm colors, but that's basically all the guidelines they gave. What do you think?

I love the idea! Great work!

I'd perhaps flip the sun so it looks into the circle rather than away and have the rays in the circle centered on the sun rather than in the center of the circle. I'l also lose the square box around academy. If you need a faded border make an offset around the letters like Sun Child instead.

The rays of the sun are already breaking out of the circular background, and I think it would look more dynamic if Sun Child were enlarged to break out as well. I wouldn't make the sun any bigger, just the lettering. The font for Academy seems too formal for this design. I would find something with more bounce to it, so it matches the feel of Sun Child better.

My mind wanders. And that's not a good thing, 'cause it's too small to be out there alone.

Well... the customer thought it was too playfull. So, following some suggestions, we try again...

I like that one LOTS better.
I'd like to see the panel behind Academy in navy, with white lettering.
