How kool is that Ray, great job and I really like the flames. Nothing over the top but they are there and well placed in my opinion. Thanks for sharing and put up some more, I love looking at them.

A little critique here from years of doing race cars and I'm picking nits here The numbers you have chosen look great....up close. At a distance, they centers are going to "weld". The 9 may look like a 0 on the back chute or even on the main straight, especially if the track is poorly lit or lit from the infield. I used to do the same thing and it took a lot to break myself of the habit. Numbers with plenty of room in the centers just don't look as cool up close in the garage but they work so much better out on the track.

No argument from me on that point, George. It's been a longtime rule here to keep the numbers well spaced and opened up.
Fortunately, things have changed at the track. They installed new perimeter lighting a couple of years ago in place of the old light bulbs over the center of the surface and the place is like daytime now. Before, one or two laps of clay kicking up would make the numbers almost invisible down the back stretch.
I am gonna miss the old lights, though. Wasn't uncommon to see a couple of guys run out with a ladder between heats to replace a bulb.
