Aunt Tipsy is 4x2' on DiBond. All painted with airbrushed shadows, some masking and hand lettering. Tipsy herself is thousands of dots, my first attempt at that style. The reason for that was to keep her "soft".

Things I would change: Keeping Tipsy more as a sepia instead of the colored dress and background.

This is a smaller version of the original which is on the face of the building and hangs inside behind the fudge counter.

Hi Mike, I think it looks great! Did you use a brush for the pointalism on Aunt Tipsy?

Very nice. I too used to utilize pointillism doing fine art. I bet it looks great on a sign. What type of paint did you use for the gold? Was the gold masked and sprayed? Great choice of fonts and colors.

Aunt Tipsy looks a lot like my Grandma, God rest her soul. Except she always dyed her hair "sparkling sherry".

I absolutely love the rich colors in this thing. Excellent work, Mike.

Thanks all. The pointilism was done with paint and brush. The gold is OneShot metallic tinted with a little dark brown Chromatic, all done with a brush. I used Helmsman Satin Clear over the pieces to even out the sheen.

Neil, my father was a cartoonist and if he were still with us stippling is the term he would have used.
