Hi all... I am submitting a logo for the BC Miniature Horse Club. Our AGM is next weekend and any member can put in a logo for consideration. Our current logo is uuuuugly and I was the one who suggested changing it. I want to make some nifty signage for the club using our router and whatnot and so I wanted something to work with that does not cause cringing and general nausea.

So anyways, I thought I would post it here and get some feedback from all you pros. Say what you will, I can take it. This logo has to translate well into print, embroidery, screen printing, etc.

This is the flag of BC, for those of you not from around here...

And this is my logo pitch...

I like it too. Very visual logo.

Just a small thought...Is there something you could do to the logo that could signify "miniature"? Just a thought & I have no ideas that come to mind.

Very nice & clean.
I'm sure they will love it.

Cool idea, I like it, but there is one little thing that bugs me and that is the optical illusion created with the piece of wave between the horses head and neck. I wonder if it could be diminished by somehow altering the place the head lands so a touch of the stripe above shows or else stretching the waves out a bit so they are intersected in a different place. Am I making any sense? [Smile] Does any one else notice that?

I assume the top picture is before the bottom is new ... which rocks understandable very high end looking for the simple layout

I really like it, Bec. I think you have a good idea and executed it well.

I see what Kelly is talking about, but I guess it doesn't bother me visually.... my brain sorta automatically connects it to the other blue stripes and gives it the right wave.

I think it's pretty obvious from Craig's statement that only people from BC and the surrounding provinces will realize what the design represents... not that it matters at all.

Craig, if she hadn't put it in her post up there, I wouldn't have known either, but the first design is the British Columbia flag.

Thanks for your comments folks. I tweaked it a tad more and took it to the meeting.... where the committee promptly decided to decide at the AGM in November of 2008. Gotta love it!
