Partial HDU carve attempt. This is first, partial cut, before clean-up.

The top graghic is the desired result.
The bottom is work in progress.

Pretty rough, but really fun.

Looks pretty good Michael. You seem to be avoiding a beginners mistake by making the "V" too deep.

Michael - I like it so far. Are you going to gild/paint as in the top mock-up? It's weird, seeing this post made me remember a dream I had last night where I was carving some quarterboard-style signs.

Looks good, Mike. I still have yet to try carving. Tried it once on HDU playing around & I could see I need some pointers!
