Every once in a while, you get a good idea that actually fits the situation....
The sign is 3X6 ft overal, 3/4 MDO with 3/8 MDO for the add on blue ovals. No vinyl...all paints with masks. The blue stripes were done with a mack striper.
I used a Dremel with a large, flared grinding bit on the top of the post cap orb to well it down, then a palm sander to flatten the tops and shape them as cherries. I coated the tops with primer and silver aerosol paint, then hit it with a few coats of anodized red. A coat of OS UV Clear for protection gave them a nice gloss. A small drill hole in the top, a dab of Gorilla glue and a piece of black wire tie made the stems.
