How refreshing to see readable numbers on a race car these days!
Cool little car. Is that the second division at your local track? Looks like the roof off a 38-40 Ford grafted to some aluminum. It would look killer with a 38 hood Do they run stock stub frames?

Love it, Ray!! Not having to suffer through an hour of the driver trying to specify what he wants it to look like makes it a fun job right off the bat!!
Down here we have a division called the Vintage Class that runs cars that look at lot like that... they don't have the modified style front ends though...

Yes, they are considered the second division of the track (358 Modifieds are the top dogs), but "Home of the Coupes" is the selling point at the track. last I knew, it's the only dirt track in the US still running coupes on a regular weekly schedule.
They're pretty much a mod chassis underneath, but a few years ago they were all stock, right down to the leaf springs and a six cylinder division. Wasn't uncommon to see a few old flathead Fords in the bunch every Saturday night before the rule changes.
Got another one coming in next week. Rapid

I did do the pinstripes on the hood, but the flames were a remnant from last season. Since the hood cowl is polished aluminum, we figured better to leave it alone than risk ruining the metal finish.

That's really neat, Ray. I love how you contour all your awesome designs to fit the car! Your large numbers and shading really stand out too. Glad it was fun all the way around!
