Just completed this painting, this was one of the hardest animals I have tried painting.
There is room for improvement in this painting, the next time I try a Koala I will approach it differently...If you don't make mistakes you don't learn.

The limb looks a little rushed but the koala is photorealistic!! Great job Neil!! Tell us what substrate, paints and AB you used.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Ricky the tree limb is a little rushed, I should take more time on the minor elements but by the time I get to them I've had enough It is painted on heavy paper using water based paints made in Aust. airbrush is an Iwata bcs.

Hard to believe, I could only tell that it was'nt a photo from the branch.
That claw foot is perfect so real.
