Hey Mark....Nice work on the graphics. Liked the Concrete TV also.

Loaded slow for me....I have a 56K modem....only 26,400bps.
Music started...then stopped...then started over and over. Don't know if that helps or not....

Ciao...

thanks jackson,

that's what i want is feedback.
i have dsl and it loads quick.
but on a 56k modem it tends to load a little slower.

should i design for fast internet connections or try for a happy medium.

thanks jackson.

Very nice Mark. I am on 56k too, and it took about three minutes for everything to load, but thats normal for here. Graphics are really good.

Hey Mark,

I am on aol with a 56K modem, PII/600. I had the logo in 2 seconds. It took 18 seconds to complete the concrete background and start music and slide show. I don't think that is especially slow to someone that is used to a 56K modem. The music did stop just before the slides changed and started back with the next slide. Maybe you could shorten the slide time, and make music seem continous.

Looks GREAT

connected @ 50 on 56k ... took a few minutes ... noticed you changed it since last night

IMO the red and blue plastic look on the sub pages dosen't quite fit the earth tone look of the rest (which I really like)

losing that music loop is a plus too

nice start / looking good

28,800 with a 56, loaded a tad slower than most. The music seems to have a hiccup, other than that it looks GREAT!!!! The concrete looks real good. You might want to ad a matching boarder around the TV, also, there is a little mistep in the concrete above the E in HOME, the resulting highlight caught my eye.
This reminds me of when I used to have my second wife proofread copy leaden showcards

Same here Mark, I'm connected at 38,666, and it took a while to load..in fact i was starting to doze off (it's been a long day) and the music jolted me awake!! haha...but it also seemed to be awkward the way it kept repeating with pauses in between.
I know you asked for feedback while you fine tune it, I bet it will be a very effective site for them when you are done!
Good work Mark.

Like the gif and the page layout Mark, but for what it costs in load time, I could personally do without the sound. That is, I am sure somewhat short of 2¢, but MHO, anyway.

Regards,
Barry

Glad I waited! Nice site. The concrete looks good, colors easy on eyes and warmer than the real agregate. Took close to five minutes to load though, with IE 5.5 and a country download speed of 28.8 which is the fastest we can get. The flashes of the photos and the twirling blade really convey alot of what the company does real fast.

It took 5 seconds to load here with a cable modem. Very nice work as usual, Mark!

thanks so much for your comments and suggestions.
i read each and every one of them and took some advice along the way.

this is an on-going project for a good sign client.
domain names have been secured and it's a matter of time before the site is launched.

(don't worry i am getting paid well for this webwork.)

the cool thing about it is the fact it is a customer with a nice budget and i have creative control! (few and far between)

so check back often and see the site in progress. http://www.markfair.com/idscuts

thanks,

mark
