Nice job, Mark! Is that tautflex-air on the vinyl, & did you seal it at all? Is the black a separate layer, or did you use vinylmask & do the whole thing on one backing piece of vinyl?

Thanks, Mark. How does the vinyl react to the 2-pak clear? I guess you spray it on thinly before weeding?, or do you stick everything to the door, and mask the background with a margin & clear it in place on the door? (sorry for all the questions...!)

Ian first I got a grey scotch brite scuffed the area on the vinyl i am going to cut on plotter.Then prepsol the vinyl,tack rag it then put in plotter and cut word needed. Then spray/airbrush colour on to vinyl(left unweeded) once finished airbrushing then apply tack coat of clear (still unweeded) then apply a couple of wet coats. Then while clearcoat is still tacky but not wet weed the vinyl.I let the clear coat dry over night then apply to door or substrate.

THANK YOU Mark! I appreciate that. I've done tautflex air the same way, plus uv-clear but didn't know the 2-pak clear was OK to use like that. I used vinylmask on top of the vinyl also, so I could airbrush a faded inset panel, with the background colour showing as an outline at the sides & bottom.
