Michael, I don't do many signs but have been known to design a few and vehicles is what I do. I believe that the background color of the truck dictates which colors should be used.

Also since the client is into working with wood how about a letter style and color which looks like wood with grain etc.

Determining the style he wants to portray and the vehicle year also gives the artist room to explore new horizons as well as extending old time styles.

Hope you understand my position [Smile]

Michael,

I agree with Joey on this. The design elements you've selected remind me more of someone who does ornamental iron work.

Now, that said, if all we have to work with is your current design, this is what I would do....

 -

Its not necessary to put an underline under everything and should be used sparingly.

I hope this helps.

I agree that you should remove most of the underlines.

I think you should also add a bit more space between the 2 lines of main copy - it looks as if the "and" is really cramped in there.

I'm also not sure if it would be a good idea to use 2 different colors of blue - especially ones that are so close.

Still looks great, tho.

Mike

I agree with above- and feel a faux woodgrain panel (eg a nice dark walnut) would make a good starting point, and the chopped out corners need a bit more substance to them, in my opinion.

The contrast between a vertical format font, and a horizontal format panel isn't working for me either, sorry!

I also think that there are to many underlines but my concern is there is not enough negative space. What colour is the truck?MHO Randy.
