Wow Frank. I'm glad you learned how to post pics. I don't get to see much work like that any more. Sure does bring back memories of my old days.
Thanks for sharing.

The Armidilly is one of my favorites, his story started many years ago when I met a very talented airbrush artist out of Texas known as VonOtto. He's around the Austin area now I think, great guy, damn good artist and my friend. I met him when he came here to a truck show and their entry was a Bobby Hatfield rig. They had full murals on trailers and most of tractor too, matching themes, all done by VonOtto and very impressive and full of humor. Hence, the Lone Star eating Armadillo. In Texas, the saying is: eating armadillos and drinking Lone Star beer...so conversion was logical and humorous, VonOtto had done one on Hatfields trailer and I was so impressed w/it, years later when the chance came up to use it, I did!!! Thanks Von!!! Great idea and great cartoon!!! Of course, Von would have done it alot quicker and probably more detailed...he's that good!!!
Again, thanx for kind remarks, as we all know, for the most part, pats on the back from "our" public are hollow as most are done w/hidden agendas. Here, it's pure truth and love for the craft, thanks so ever much...truly humbled right now.

Frank, The only time I've seen an armadillo in nature was when they crossed Alligator alley in Florida. They took their time, a reminder that we are building too quickly. Darn shame. That armadillo could have taught the hustler bustlers to leave nature alone, but, unfortunately, the greed of quick travel and expansion has ruined the landscape and ecology of the beautiful everglades. Your buddy is a welcome site. I enjoy the soft natural color techniques as it looks very authentic. Splendid.
