To raffle off this weekend at the bike run I help organize. Last years "true crab claws" box made more than a dvd player so we'll see what we can make with 2.

How come you dont get mentioned on the website for that run yet another sign shop gets advertising space? I think you deserve at least something for your efforts.

I like both of them, and, if you want to send me one of them I'd like the pinstriped one please.
I promise it would never be sitting on a post out beside the road!

Always somethin' cool when you post Mark, and this is no exception. I think of talent, fun, and cool stuff when I see your name.

The run is this coming Saturday ... so far we are over 12K raised (I think) I'll know more after the run.
The other "sign shop" is not even really a business ... we got one guy (among others) who sponsors us (family money) who is like 4 of the sponsors plus kicked another grand in the name of our planning committee ... and is buying our big raffel prize (42" plasma tv or new ATV). When asked if he could make our stop sponsor banners (I'm busy enough) it was "well I know a guy" ... so I made them (charged accordingly)
My name is on everything I do ... flyers, posters, place mats, tshirts, bandanas, web site, banners, prizes .... but ya gotta look for it, anyone who wants to will. That's the way "I" want it ... they keep hounding me to advertise big but I don't want to ... it's not about that to me.

yeah, man good stuff, My wife bought a mailbox for me to paint a few days ago. I had this big idea to paint flames on mailboxes and sell them on ebay, so I went on ebay and people are already doing it. HA HA, I shouldve figured

Didn't make &%$# ... around 100 bucks ($2 tickets or 3 for $5) Thunderstorms and buckets of rain ... had less than half the bikes there as last year (still had 150) Charity will still get fatter check this year ... but next year I'm only flaming one (takes me a couple hours vs. couple days and that's what people want)

I know, it's absolutely ridiculous. I have a deal with a guy who welds up these really nice heavy, round ornate posts and ornamental brackets for mail boxes, complete with newspaper tubes. He brings me just the (factory) mailboxes to letter and people are just crazy about getting their address hand-lettered in gold script on these things.
No sooner does he get a few in the ground then some kid bashes one in with a bat, beer bottle, or something . . .
His son (& business partner) beat the adolecents at their own game though! Afetr his box got bashed-in, he fabricated his own personal box, (shaped just like the standard steel ones), out of thick plate steel . . .lol!!!
I'd love to see the arm & shoulder reverberation wound some dumb kid got from trying to bash in THAT box, or at least watch the glass feedback from the beer bottle . . .

Real nice, Mark! The colors are fantastic on the striping too. It reminds me of what one would see in the tropical zones, bright and cheerful, and never skimping on color. You have some real talent, it is beautiful. Too bad you couldn't get more for all that work. You practically giving it away, huh? Nice guy.
