I installed this yesterday. Its 1/2" MDO with acrylic background and borders. All lettering is vinyl, and the cross is signfoam with 22kt. gold leaf. Size is 4' by 4' on 10' posts. The caps I made out of scrap signfoam and edged them with a router. The font used for Coxton is Casablance from letterhead fonts.

Lookin' good John! I love to use the sample pieces of SignFoam that I get at trade shows as add-ons. I'm not a carver, but it sure is fun to use. Love....Jill

Dude, you've got this sign thing down pat. Another knockout punch to the competition! Looks great!
Question: Can you explain the "Acrylic" background you mentioned? What exactly is this stuff, how was it helpful for your project, and where do you obtain it? Thanks.

Thanks everyone. Todd, the acrylic background is Porter acrylic latex paint. Porter is a very good latex based paint, and I use it on all my mdo signs now. Average life expectancy on this paint is 15 to 20 years in all weather. Ive been using it for quite awhile now, and no failures or fading at all. I still love lettering with one shot, but decided to use Porter for my backgrounds. So many colors to choose from too. Heres their website. http://www.porterpaints.com/

Man John, that is just too sweet. I had to re-read that "vinyl" part; it looks sooooooo tasteful and hand lettered. What a fabulous job!!
