That pet shop I painted not long after moving here finally faded and needed repainting....
I suggested we paint it in One Shot so it would last longer. The client agreed and I repainted the shop windows...I even threw in a new look for her shop name.
And...it got me on the front page of the local interest section of the paper. (gloat gloat gloat)

Brilliant! The Old English sheepdog is outrageously wonderful, Disney should be onto you about using it as a new cartoon hero! He/she could be called Gothic. No? Not Gothic? Oh well, perhaps not. A treat to see though.

You could get in a load of Picture Windows from the local glass company, donated, of course. We could all take ours home after...
is this possible???

Gee (blushing) I didn't think I'd get much response...lol, but thanks!!
I did these with One Shot, a big step for me as I am an acrylic person.
But it went well...I did it just like I would in Acrylics, rollers and all, took me a few days as I could only stand a few hours at a time being as it's a noisy intersection, and the fumes from the cars were pretty bad.(there were 9 windows in all)
I have received a few calls that have lead to a couple of jobs, but I'm gratefull to get what I can, work is slow.
Arthur...I had an Old English Sheepdog for 16 years, he was the love of my life and my best friend. It's been over 12 yrs and I still get choked up talking about him. (His name was Snoopy)
It's all on the outside, I just can't paint in reverse, and the tint on the glass cuts down on the visibility tremendously.
I would LOVE to host a meet, I'm trying to get it together to just have a non-formal get together before I leave for California to do Christmas windows in Nov.
Is it possible?? Tell me and I'll try to pull it off.
BTW, I have almost 40 windows I've been collecting from a local glass shop....I think we could do something on them.

Those are just wonderful Adrienne. Do you sketch patterns that you apply behind the glass or draw them on freehand? I was wondering if you added the white outline after, it just looks so crisp and clean!
I bet your customer was thrilled.

I sketch them on the outside of the glass with a china marker, then roll on the base color (the brown dog a tan with dark brown ears, for instance)
Then I came back the next day (this is with One Shot, with acrylics I do it all in the same day) and took a roller with the base color and added the tint if dark brown on the edge, rolled on the shadows.
Same thing with the highlights...
Then outline with black, then next day outline everything with white.
I'm glad ppl ask, it makes me think of the proccess....

You are a goddess of an illustrator. I think we should tie you up and make you do children's books, hehehe; you should be getting residuals instead of doing this incredible work for people "on the street". You are incredible Adrienne.
