I've been wanting to do a gold leaf on glass piece since the Winter Muster, and my wife's 30th birthday was a good reason. I gave it to her tonight (her birthday was yesterday, but it took a little longer to get the frame I wanted) She's always saying that I never make her anything.
It is line art from an Alphonse Mucha book. I used patent gold, loose aluminum, and loose variagated. Sorry about the picture quality.

Lovely, very well done, & nice appropriate colour combinations!
Did you hand-brush the black lines on, or maybe screen them? Enamel, or drop black? What size is the picture?
How have you done the pale whitey lines in the pastel pink background?
Mucha's work always looks good in reverse on glass, I did one years ago, the same as was once featured on a Signs of the Times cover, with pinky marble feather effects around the outside- it was nice, tho' not as nice as you've just done.

My anniversary is August 10th. Is that enough time for one? My wife's birthday is July 25, but I figure you need more time than that. You could make it and I'd tell my wife I did it.
Just Kidding. Your wife should be proud of it and you.
