Hiya Heads, The photos doesn't do it justice. Our photography intern is off until Friday It's a 22" x 8' x 1" thick "countertop" laminated with Wilsonart satin brushed aluminum on the face and edges. The logo lettering is 3/4" and 1/2" thick black polished anodized aluminum from Gemini. The tag line is H.P. black vinyl so it can be updated yearly without too much additional cost. The stand-offs are 2" diameter domed caps with a 1/2" spacer on the back to give it the appearance that it's floating off the wall. It will be covering an existing area where stud mount letters were previously installed.
There are 2 and they retailed for $6500 each. The material costs were about $6000 for the 2. They are very labor intensive and weigh about 150 pounds each. Installation is gonna be a real p.i.t.a. The etched glass look window wall is next. Nearly $5k for a custom world map installed on a bank of 4 windows. The total area is about 8' tall x 15' wide.
Havin' fun,
Checkers

Thanks for the nice comments guys Leonard, You can do projects like this now and it's relatively easy. Most of this work was done using standard off the shelf products. The frames for the posters and directories are stock. We just printed the inserts and installed. The Etched glass map was outsourced to a sign shop who had a 60" plotter and Etchmark material in stock. The main sign was outsourced to Gemini for the letters and a local countertop maker for the background. The stand offs were custome made. The most of the artwork and designs were supplied by the client "output ready". The majority of the budget went to labor and research to insure a functional wayfinding system and materials. A minimal amount went to the actual installation.
Cheers,
Checkers
