OK, Hopefully this sign (that I designed and hand crafted) will make up for the Cigar sign (which I didn't design) I posted before
2" PB15 HDU. I used the Gerber Sabre for the bulk of the carving but I hand carved and scored the surface using a large wire brush and some not so conventional carving tools. Then I distressed the ends to give it more of a wood look. With a little help from our paint guy Bart Hall, we used a combination of hand painted latex and airbrushed it with some Createx. The Fine Seafood was added using vinyl. Final coat was Matthews Gloss Clear.
The island was a seperate piece bonded in to complete the 3D effect. If you look close you can even see the seagulls to the right of the light house.

well Rob I'll say the graining with a wire brush is creative, & its colorfull and bright.
I want to encourage you to better yourself without discouraging you.
stick around, ask questions, attend a few meets and suck up as much as you can.
I wont critique your sign for you didnt ask for one. Even as long as I've been doing this I have so much to learn.
You're in the right place, although you have ruffled a few feathers, if you have the humble passion to be better then stick around, you will NOT find a better bunch to learn from.
