If anyone is interested, the Smithonian Institute published a book in 1998 called "Design for Victory" - world war 2 posters on the American home front... written by William L. Bird and Harry R. Rubenstein. Quite interesting. Mark, Is the woman a print? -------------------- Jeff Vrstal Main Street Signs 157 E. Main Street Evansville, WI 53536 1-608-882-0322

thanks for the kind words people. "Rosie" is actually an edge print.(didn't have the time to paint it.) i have been experimenting with antiqueing edge prints.(scuff with steel wool, then scumble glaze, then behr "crackle finish", rub in latex brown to define the cracks, then clear coat with matte finish water based polyurethane. also the "rivets" are little half moon wood appliques i found at hobby lobby.(glued them down with liquid nail.) the lettering was hand painted from a paper pattern. these type signs are great fun! mark -------------------- Mark Fair Signs 2162 Mt.
