One day last week I walked past the zippo counter at wal mart and decided to pick one up and see what kinda damage I could do to it. [Smile]

got it home and dug out the craftsman Flex Shaft tool, (kinda like a dremel, 30,000 RPM but more powerful motor) put in an engraving bit and went to town:

Looks nice Mike, is that the brass showing through? Or did you lay leaf on it?

Yes that's the brass showing through.

This particular model zippo appears to be powdercoated, or has some other nice matte finish on it, which is what I removed with the rotary tool then shot clear over the whole thing to keep the elements from the brass.

I showed one of my lady friends this lighter (she's a smoking/tobacco conisseur) and she offered to let me take her ex-husband's 400,000 RPM Paragraver off her hands - NO COST! (in return for a little work, of course) [Smile]
