Hiya Larry, I'd try the yellow pages and look under sewing machine repair. The last shop I worked for had an old Singer circa 1940's?. The place they bought it from rigged it up to allow double stiching in one pass. Other than the thread being a pain in the butt, it was very reliable. Havin' fun, Checkers

I'm not sure you can buy a bad one. Mine is a ConSew built in Japan and it will sew through masonite. Most commercial machines are built to last a thousand years.

Larry, to expand on the point about sewing thru masonite, those machines will put a needle thru your finger without hurting the machine. Saw it happen once or twice as a college student doing summer work in a garment factory. Vic G
