I just wondered because there are a few nice items on it going dirt cheap. Putting something up for bid is much easier than using E-bay. About as simple as making this post. Remember your trash may be someone elses treasure and a percentage of the proceeds will help Letterville.
I have been using E-bay since it opened, with about 300 purchases by now. With proper "Due Diligence", I have only had a couple of problems. I hope it becomes a great asset to the group along with the town.....Jack

Yes, I just lost a bid today. And I'm waiting for an item I won two weeks ago. I think it is specially a good think for people from remote areas or remote coutries like me. A lot of items are unavailable in Switzerland.

I got one superdeal and lost a few other ones, mainly because I forgot about the deadline.
One tip: keep hiting that refresh button when waiting for the bid to close, the page does not show new bids ( or change time) if you just stay on it. Somebody outbid me by 50 cents without me noticing... !

Good tip Lotti, another one I like on last minute bidding wars is to open a second window. I enter user name & password in one window to have it ready for my next bid, and keep hitting refresh in the other window to watch for other bids. Just remember to enter the price of your bid after you see what your up against.
The 5 minute closing extension after each bid makes that a little less necessary, but a little time saved could come in handy if your trying to work too!

I'm watching out for 1911a1 still. 2 minutes left.
