I hopped a Ferry last Saturday for Victoria, Canada. Need to get some referance material for the bus jackson and I are painting...Victoria is such a cool city.

At the Royal British Columbia Museum there was a car show of British cars there, part of the Royalty exhibit.

I thought you would enjoy seeing John Lennon's Rolls. He had it painted..unfortunatly the artist did not get credit (aint that always the deal!?)

Would someone like to post the pics for me?

Thanks!
A:)

Adrienne, John Lennons Rolls was painted by a group of persons known as 'The Fool' they were also known as the original cast of 'Hair' and in the mid sixties they travelled in what was called the 'Magic Bus' and among other things painted 'Susy Creamcheese' home in Las Vegas. At that time Suzy owned a clothing store and I was a shirtmaker in L.A.

BTW, they also painted the Union Jack on the Rolls of 'Lord Sutch' David Sutch was another crazy who had a barge off the coast of England in the early sixties which was a bootlegged radio station, he eventually came to the states with his Rolls in all his garb.

At one point Rolls Royce refused to sell John Lennon anymore Rolls as this was not the kind of advertising they wanted.

Hope this helps!

send me your pics & I will post them. Cool Car, great post!

Ken Kesey's Merry Pranksters as chronicled by Tom Wolfe spent a good deal of their time in Ken's bus "Further". No connection IMHO to "The Fool" and whatever "Magic Bus" they hung out in, although I'd be interested to hear more on "The Fool" etc.
