Has any one had any luck selling threw a web site any coments on web design and the other things that go in to selling on line would be welcome.

I wouldn't say it's made a huge difference to me in gaining signwork, but I've found it very useful to just direct prospective customers to my site when they ask what work I've done previously and where could they go and look at something.
I've noticed that most queries are for slightly out of the ordinary work; never been asked for a 'No Parking Residents Only' sign from the web yet.
Should you be thinking of building your own site, I found Web Studio very simple, easy and inexpensive. It can be used entirely in 'drag and drop' mode if you have no knowledge of html.
At worst, websites are another fun way of wasting time between fishing trips and F1 Grand Prix.
