I need a banner 10'X 30'. The company I usually order from says that the banner will have a seam running right down the middle of it because they sew two pieces together. Is this normal or is there a place where I can get a banner without a seam through the middle? They told me it's not a good idea to put vinyl over the seam.........duh.
Help! Any suggestions. Thanks as usual.

I just got two 8'x8' digitally printed banners and they both had seems down the middle. They wouldn't be viewed up close so it didn't matter.

I'm not sure if all are that way.

Hiya Sharon,
It is normal for banners that big to have a seam running through it.
If it really concerns you, try contacting a billboard printer & see if they're willing to help you out. I know that there's a few in the area.
Havin' fun,

HI Sharon,

we print billboards, up to (+/-) 18ft wide / 80ft long no seams. 160dpi, full color. We can do it with pockets (we usually use PVC for the backbone and then ratchet down with tie-straps) or however you need to attach.

Just email me your info if you want to.

Most large banners have seams. If you have to letter over one w/ vinyl, just heat it lightly & burnish down where the seam is. I've never had a problem with that in over 13 years.

If you want to avoid the sewn seam, ATW (800-745-0141) can heat weld the seam, which makes a very nice seam with no stitches.
