I need a banner 10'X 30'. The company I usually order from says that the banner will have a seam running right down the middle of it because they sew two pieces together. Is this normal or is there a place where I can get a banner without a seam through the middle? They told me it's not a good idea to put vinyl over the seam.........duh. Help! Any suggestions. Thanks as usual.

Hiya Sharon, It is normal for banners that big to have a seam running through it. If it really concerns you, try contacting a billboard printer & see if they're willing to help you out. I know that there's a few in the area. Havin' fun, Checkers

we print billboards, up to (+/-) 18ft wide / 80ft long no seams. 160dpi, full color. We can do it with pockets (we usually use PVC for the backbone and then ratchet down with tie-straps) or however you need to attach.

Most large banners have seams. If you have to letter over one w/ vinyl, just heat it lightly & burnish down where the seam is. I've never had a problem with that in over 13 years.
If you want to avoid the sewn seam, ATW (800-745-0141) can heat weld the seam, which makes a very nice seam with no stitches.
