Hi guys. I'm smalting the sign Coop posted for me on the portfolio area. It looks like in some areas the smalt has been completely swallowed by the paint/smith's. I think I may have used too much...did I? Anyway, is there any way to correct this?
Another thing, this sign is a two sider. How long should I wait before I flip it over to do the other side?
Thanks!!!

I'm not positive but I think you had the paint/smith's cream too thick. If it isn't already dry try putting more on top. You should dump it off until the paint/cream is completely dry. Jiggle it around a bit every so often to even it out.
I would let it dry at least 24 hours but longer if you have the time.
I am by far no expert in this area. Have fun!

The way I was told, which worked fine so far, is to pour on about an inch of smalt and let sit overnight. After dumping off the excess the next day, any holidays are invisibly fixed by re-creaming and re-pouring.
